Our Story

My name is Nick Cox. I grew up around a family business, and I've wanted to run one for as long as I can remember. I got my start in the moving business, working for a global relocation company based in Sterling, Virginia. I spent my first two summers learning to appreciate hard work on the residential moving trucks — wrapping furniture, loading trailers, and working in people's homes. Over the next few years I moved through a range of roles: move coordination, dispatch, and eventually sales. Those experiences taught me that a business builds its brand through the people doing its customer-facing work.

I learned that from my father, David Cox, who has spent more than 35 years in global logistics and relocation. Seeing his impact on that industry is a large part of why I'm here.

After graduating from Gettysburg College with a degree in business, I spent three years in healthcare technology consulting, helping health systems grow by finding people who fit their culture and vision.

Bluemont Growth Partners is my father and me. We're looking for one business with an owner seeking to preserve and grow the legacy they have built as they begin the next chapter in their own journey.
